Sitecore XM Cloud :: Build & Deploy internal server error

I've been recently working on an CM Cloud project, and was getting "Internal Server Error" when trying to build & deploy using the deploy app in XM Cloud, in this post I will show you how did we resolve the issue, keep reading!

While trying to build and deploy into one of the environments in my XMC project, I got a strange exception, following is the exception description:

Request failed with status 500. An error occurred. please try gain. If the error persists, create support case with session ID:....

As the exception advise, to create a support case, I did, and sitecore support helped me to resolve the issue, the issue was
related to the connection that is used by XM Cloud project, and they advised to create a new connection from the connections page using the same provider and account and repository).

Once you login to portal.sitecore.com, go to the deploy app, and from their on the left side, click on Connections, and then, click on Create connection, and select the already provider you used before, like GitHub in my case, see the following screenshot for more information:

Once you click on the GitHub link, you will be redirected to install/uninstall Sitecore deploy app into your GitHub account, once you finish these steps and being redirected back to the XMC deploy app, you can try the build and deploy.

Hope the above helped! Happy Sitecoring!
