Sitecore Symposium 2024 :: Sitecore Marketplace

Sitecore marketplace has been announced at this year Sitecore Symposium, it has been discussed during MVP summit in addition to a great roadmap session by product team, in this blogs post I will summarize my takeaways including a definition of Sitecore Marketplace, what it means for developers, customers and partners in addition to the current and future roadmap, not to be missed reading!   

Sitecore Marketplace

A solution for discovering, enabling and managing apps, plugins and extensions, which will bring customization and extensibility to Sitecore Products. 

There will be a place/site where you can explore apps and plugins, either filter b y Standalone app, plugins developer by Sitecore, partner supported, free or even already installed ones. 

That will brings faster time to value through the ability to find and sin tall application OOTB that solve an enterprise system needs. it will brings flexibility and extensibility by adopting sa SaaS-based approach with easy extension of you an enterprise solution without custom code, in addition it will brings growth and enablement by gaining access to a portfolio of cutting-edge solutions developed by sitecore and its trusted partners. 

Type of applications that will be available in the marketplace: 

• Apps (Standalone or Integrated), like DAM integrations, new sitecore applications, E-commerce catalog sync, Hosting integration for logs and monitor and release management tool integrations. 
• Plugins, like Media library integration with pages, page speed performance and translator options. 
• Accelerators, like site templates for specific industries, OORB components for various industries and products. 

Sitecore will provide developers with the tools and technology to build and provide solutions that will allow customers to enhance sitecore products. where developers can contribute to the community or build for private specific use cases, these apps could be privately owned or publicly available.  

Some of the first applications that Sitecore will provide includes: 

AI Component Generator for XM CLoud

d design patterns and enables you to change the theme and styles and iterate for creative inspiration. 

Content transfer Application 

This app will allow you to easily move content across environments, its supports of various content sync strategies like merge overwrite and keep existing. its provides a user-friendly experience for both developers and content editors
